Dipping toes………

So, after the trial blog this is my first ‘official’ blog!

I guess they say that Facebook, twitter and other Social Media sites are a form of mini blog, but I definitely don’t see them all as one and the same.  I have just remembered as well that I used to blog for my old company, although not in a big way and always about wedding.  Although an enjoyable job for most part, I will probably forget about that and pretend it didn’t happen!  Bridezillas – you know who you are!

So I would like to think this is my first ever ‘official’ blog, and certainly the first one about me, from my perspective.  And this is me, dipping my toes in to the WordPress world.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the Social Media Driving License programme for taking the time to offer this opportunity to the lucky lot who applied.  It is clear that a lot of work, thought and time has gone in to the preparation and although, on the run up to week three I am thinking “OMG – such a lot to do” I am enjoying it.  Bazzarly, even writing this!  Ask my colleagues, I do like a good rambling!

I would like to think that after the eight weeks is up I would still continue to blog, even if it’s just as a journal.  Time is of the essence with that one however, blogging, Yammer, Twitter, Facebook where do you stop!  Where do you find the time?  I guess there are advantages to each platform, after all, how would I ever find the Steak&Honour burger van if I wasn’t on twitter?!  and how would I ever know the F1 qualifying times whilst sitting in the pub garden on a Saturday.  So although having a Twitter account for months and tweeting never, in the past few weeks, since knowing about the looming Twitter Week Three, I have been Twitter active and can see the benefits!

As Michael Jordan once said – “I can accept failure, but I can’t accept not trying”
